Resource Center Manager
American Concrete Institute
ACI is excited to announce the development and implementation of three regional ACI Resource Centers. The Centers are being developed to meet the increased demand for ACI products by the concrete industry and will be critical to maintaining and growing the qualified workforce in the industry, meeting customer needs and expectations, and facilitate ACI’s continued growth and success. Strategically placed, ACI-staffed Resource Centers, will provide on-demand availability of many ACI Certification programs, and regional support for ACI Chapters and Sponsoring Groups. Three regions have been identified for this initiative: Southwest (Southern California), Midwest, and East Coast (Mid-Atlantic or Northeast). The Southern California Center has been chosen as the first location to be established by this effort. These centers will provide a static ACI presence in the region: a brick-and-mortar presence with offices, training, education, certification space and ACI staff, to strengthen and grow the ACI brand and its value in an incomparable manner. These centers would also be designed and equipped to be used for a variety of other important and strategic efforts, including hosting Chapter Roundtables, Certification Summits, ACI Public Seminars and Regional Student Chapter Competitions. It will also provide a location for ACI Certification to host Pilot Programs, training of new sponsoring group personnel including examiners, and training of international partner personnel. ACI currently has 30 Certification programs across three practice areas: Technician / Craftsman / Inspector. Initially, this will be a one-person office with regular support from ACI headquarters. The potential exists for adding staff based on demand. ACI is seeking a qualified individual to take a leadership role in maintaining the ACI Southern California Resource Center. The Resource Center Manager will work closely with the Manager of Certification Program Development to coordinate efforts to expand the availability of ACI Certification programs in the region. This will require coordination and cooperation with regional ACI Chapters and Sponsoring Groups as well as other industry related associations.
